1. Dimethicone
Dimethicone is a common type of silicone oil with a large amount and a wide range of applications; in China, the product name of methyl silicone oil is 201 series, and the product brands of Dow Corning in the United States are DOWCORNING and XIAMETER, and the main models are PMX-200 Series; the brand name of Wacker in Germany is AK series; the brand name of Shin-Etsu in Japan is KF series. China's local methyl silicone oil manufacturers include: Bluestar Jiangxi Xinghuo, Yichang Kelin Silicon Material Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical, Guangzhou Tianci, Shandong Dayi Chemical, Jiaxing Kerui Silicone, etc.
2. Phenyl silicone oil
Another type of phenyl silicone oil, which is widely used, is the product obtained after part of the methyl group is replaced by phenyl group. According to the different phenyl content, it can be divided into the following categories: Low phenyl silicone oil (mole fraction of phenyl group is 5% ～10%); medium phenyl silicone oil (phenyl mol fraction 25%); high phenyl silicone oil (phenyl mol fraction 45%); high phenyl low polymerization degree silicone oil (phenyl mol fraction higher than 45%); Bi-type phenyl silicone oil.
3. Ethyl silicone oil
Various ethyl ethoxy silanes are hydrolyzed and condensed into polysilicon ether in the presence of hydrochloric acid. After molecular rearrangement and fractionation under vacuum, ethyl silicone oils of various viscosities can be obtained. Used as a release agent for a variety of rubber and plastic products. This product has low volatility, low surface tension, non-toxic, non-corrosive, and aging resistance, and can be adjusted to different viscosity according to the needs of use. It is widely used as insulation material in electrical industry, precision instrument oil, hydraulic oil, special lubricating oil, etc.
4. Hydroxy silicone oil
Hydroxy silicone oil can be used as a structure control agent for the production of room temperature silicone rubber and a chain extender for the synthesis of other products. At present, it is mainly produced by Wacker Chemical, Zhixin Chemical, Hubei Longma, Bluestar, Zhejiang Hengyecheng and other enterprises.
5. Amino silicone oil
Amino silicone oil is a basic ingredient specially used for textile softening and finishing agents, mainly produced by Dow Corning, Bluestar, Shandong Dayi Chemical, Demei Wacker, Yichang Kelin and other enterprises. Dow Corning’s brand name is mainly OFX series, Momentive’s brand name is mainly TSF4708, and Shin-Etsu’s brand name is DC-8209A.
6. Hydrogen-containing silicone oil
The hydrogen-containing silicone oil of domestic manufacturers adopts the 202 series name. At present, there are dozens of domestic companies producing hydrogen-containing silicone oil. Except for Zhejiang Hengyecheng, Bluestar, and Xin'an Chemical, the production capacity of other companies is below 4,000 tons per year. Most of the brand names of Dow Corning Hydrogen-containing silicone oils are MHX series, Momentive’s brand names are TSF series, and Shin-Etsu’s brand names are mostly KF-99 series.
7. Vinyl silicone oil
Vinyl silicone oil is the basic rubber material for the production of addition-formed liquid glue and silicone gel. At present, the main domestic manufacturers are: Blue Star Fire, Zhejiang Xin'an Chemical Group, Zhejiang Runhe. The volume of other companies is relatively small.
8. Modified silicone oil
Among the modified silicone oils, polyether modified silicone oils are used in large quantities, and are widely used as foam stabilizers, fiber finishes, fabric finishing agents, cosmetic raw materials, paint leveling agents, defoamers, and pesticide spreaders, etc.; Fluorosilicone oil has the common advantages of siloxane and fluorocarbon, and has excellent weather resistance, lubricity and oleophobicity. It is widely used in aerospace, automobile, electromechanical and electronic machinery and other friction fields.
