Film as a commercial formulation of textile softener has flooded the market for more than 20 years. As the name implies, the film is a sheet-like softener, and in recent years, beads (granular) have been heard. Alias: Dispersible solid softener, a weak cationic surfactant, belongs to high-grade fatty amide derivatives, and has the common quality of all softener products.

Among textile dyeing and finishing auxiliaries, softeners have the most varieties and the largest output. In the dyeing and finishing process, in order to make the fabric have a smooth and soft feel and improve the quality of the finished product, in addition to the mechanical treatment of rubber blankets to adjust the feel (improving the displacement performance of the fabric interweaving points), softeners are often used for treatment. Softeners are textile auxiliaries that reduce the coefficient of friction between fibers to obtain a soft and lubricating effect on the surface of the fibers. The softener for textiles must have the following characteristics: good softness, applicability to a variety of fibers; good compatibility with other additives; no allergies and irritation to the human body, no harmful gas escape during processing; no panning The phenomenon of yellowing and discoloration does not affect the light fastness of the dye; good washing resistance; meeting the requirements of high temperature treatment in dyeing and finishing; moderate price, simple finishing process, stable storage; and biodegradable.

Softeners generally rarely use a single chemical substance. The softeners currently used can be roughly divided into four categories: non-surfactants; surfactants; reactive and polymer emulsions.
